19 July 2012 FLORIDA, South Africa. 35-year-old accountant Wynand Venter, who was facing a charge of culpible homicide and fleeing the scene of an accident two years ago - and awaiting trial-- for running down and killing 18-year-old Afrikaans pupil Merzanne van Wyk, allegedly has killed himself.
The SAPS Roodepoort confirmed that Mr Venter was foundon Monday 9 July 2012 with HEADWOUNDS (plural) to his head in his bedroom.The Florida Afrikaans High School pupil was run down while cycling and the motorist drove away from the hit-and-run accident at Robert Broom road two years ago.
