Cop busted smuggling drugs

A policeman was arrested for allegedly
smuggling drugs to awaiting trial prisoners at the Vredendal Regional Court
cells, Western Cape police said on Friday.
Captain Frederick Van Wyk said the
35-year-old officer was arrested after police had a man pose as a buyer for the
inmates on Thursday.
“The suspect was arrested shortly after
the money was exchanged.”
Van Wyk said the officer would appear
at the same court on Friday. – Sapa
