2010 - An Eldorado Park woman taken in for questioning by the police,
after claims that she’d witnessed a mugging, died on the bathroom floor of the
Eldorado Park police station. Deaths in police custody have soared in South Africa -- from 191 in 1996 to 912
in 2008 -- nearly 8 deaths each day.
