29 2009 – South Africa. Three people, including an on-duty policeman, have been

PICTURE;
The accused, pictured left, appeared for a remand date in Howick Magistrate’s
Court on December 1, 2009. Beeld newspaper identified them in this picture as
SAPS Detective Michael Sokhela, on the far right, Welcome Madlala in the middle
and Mlungisi Hadebe, all South African citizens. It’s very unusual to have
farm-attackers arrested this rapidly by the SAPS – usually the attackers are
caught in citizens’ arrests.
Dr
Dorning was shot dead on his farm near Pietermaritzburg by armed men on his
farm Adamshurst - shot through the head execution-style in front of his
wife. The only items stolen were two cellphones. The wife was traumatised but
unhurt. A spent 9mm cartridge was found on the scene. The white government
official and high-level ANC-member was retired in July as chief of staff in the
KwaZulu premier's office although only 55 years old.The police claim that the
execution-style murder. Nothing of any other value was stolen from the
homestead, although the gang had ample opportunity to do so. The men had been
cornered by the police in Crammond outside Pietermaritzburg. http://www.sundayindependent.co.za/?fSectionId=&fArticleId=nw20091128164128658C264043 http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfrica/News/1059/1fecc1298aab466b908a51c725752dcc/08-11-2009-02-29/Farmer_shot_for_DStv
