Serious charges against traffic official

KNYSNA NEWS FLASH - Charges of attempted murder,
assault and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and reckless and
negligent driving have been laid against a Knysna Provincial Traffic official
after he allegedly knocked down a 23-year-old Knysna resident.
According to the complainant's attorney, Donald Curtis of Mosdell, Pama & Cox the traffic official and the complainant were involved in an argument after the officer alleged nearly drove into his mother's vehicle in the Knysna Mall parking garage. When the officer noticed the resident taking cellphone photographs of the official to use to report the traffic official's behavior, the official allegedly deliberately driven into the complainant, knocking him off his feet and causing him to land on the bonnet and roll into the windshield of the unmarked Provincial Traffic Department's Ford. |
