WATCH: Alleged drunk cop video goes viral

This video uploaded and shared on Facebook by Phil Tomlinson allegedly shows a drunken police constable being questioned on the side
of the road in Durban.
News24 can report that officer has been identified as
a constable posted at the Pinetown police station.
In the cell phone video footage you can hear the
constable being asked about having his gun on his lap while he was driving.
Tomlinson commented on Facebook underneath the video
that, “He tried to drive my son off the road”.
Police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker confirmed that
the video had been brought to the attention of top police management and the
matter would be investigated.
Other details, including when the video was shot, is
unclear at the time of publishing. This is a developing story and will be
