Knysna SAPS members arrested a 28-year-old Constable following an incident that occurred on Monday evening (24 November 2014) at about 20:40 at Knysna Police station.
It is alleged that the member, who was on duty, removed a front wheel
from a silver Toyota Corolla that was parked at the police station. When he
returned with the wheel to the Corolla he was arrested.
The vehicle of the suspect, a Volkswagen Polo was also searched and a 25
litre container with petrol was found inside.
He is currently facing charges of Theft from motor vehicle and
Possession of possible stolen property.
He is expected to appear in the Knysna Magistrates’ court today
(Wednesday 26 November 2014)
