Cop’s bribe pleas fall on deaf ears

husband called various numbers to report the incident but without any luck

A metro
police officer, who unsuccessfully tried to bribe a motorist in Allen Grove,
will face disciplinary action.
He told
the woman several times how "expensive" the fine was for not stopping
at a stop sign but she refused to fall for his bribe. He eventually issued her
a fine of R100 for not wearing a seat belt.
The
incident occurred on October 20 at 3.40pm at the four way stop at the Cactus
Street and Partridge Avenue intersection.
