A Durban police officer is set to appear in court after he was allegedly found in possession of car break-in implements on Cowey Road.
The police's Jay Naicker says the men were arrested on Saturday in connection with an incident in December when guards at a store in the northern KZN town were kidnapped, tied up and left in the sugar cane field.
The suspects then allegedly returned to rob the store.
Naicker says two other men were nabbed for the crime last year.
"The provincial commissioner has applauded the police officers for arresting the two men. As we've previously stated, we will not tolerate criminals within the police and this arrest has clearly demonstrated that we're equipped to arrest our own police officers when they do wrong," he said.
