CAPE TOWN
– Western Cape police have confirmed the arrest of a Kuils River police
officer, for allegedly robbing a house while off duty.
The robbery took place in Bellville in September this year.
The police official is believed to be one of six uniformed policemen who approached a Chinese national and his wife under false pretences and gained entry into their home.
It’s understood the officer and his accomplices then proceeded to rob the victims of household goods and a vehicle.

The
police's Thembinkosi Kinana says, “Our investigation into the circumstances of
the matter continues and the possibility of further arrests is not ruled out.”
The
38-year-old policeman is expected to appear in court on Monday.
