Klerksdorp
- Two members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) are expected to appear
before the Klerksdorp Magistrate's Court today for possession of suspected
stolen property.
North West police spokesperson Thulani Ngubane says the two officers who
work at the Klerksdorp auxiliary garage - which services the SA Police
Service's vehicles - allegedly sold rims and tyres from the garage to a member
of the public for R1200.
The man had been arrested earlier in the week for being in possession of
stolen items.
Ngubane says he told police that he bought the goods from the two SAPS
members.
The two officers allegedly took three tyres, each with a rim, to a house
in Ellaton. They were arrested on Tuesday.
