Cape Town - A
police officer was shot dead during an apparent robbery at the Klapmuts police
station outside Stellenbosch, Western Cape police said on Thursday.
The warrant
officer, 44, was killed while on duty on Wednesday night at around 10.30pm,
said Lt-Col AndrèTraut.

Brits was shot by unknown suspects, and a firearm was stolen," said Traut.

details were provided. He said a media statement would be issued shortly. -
