Kimberley -
A man arrested
for the suspected theft of maize has lost half his penis after police dogs were
allegedly let loose on the three suspects.
The men were
also reportedly held in the cells at the Kimberley Police Station for more than
48 hours without being charged.
It has been alleged
that the one suspect sustained injuries to his penis when the dogs bit half of
it off.
“This is police
brutality! How can they let the dogs bite off his penis and also hold all of
them in the police cells for more than 48 hours without charging them? Clearly
the police are becoming a law unto themselves and this is unacceptable,” a
family member of one of the men said on Wednesday……
