Mkhwanazi sat frozen in the driver's seat, his arms raised, eight gun barrels
staring at him.
A police
officer yelled for him to climb out, but he was too scared to reach for the
seatbelt clip - it could look like he was going for a gun.
When he did get
out, he was handcuffed and slammed against his car, which police suspected of
being stolen.
He realised
that a bang he had heard moments earlier was a bullet hitting his boot, fired
by a police officer.
Minutes later,
Mkhwanazi was told there had been a mistake and he was free to go. Weeks later,
he remembers how terrified he was, wondering how his four children would live
without a father.
