TEKWANE SOUTH – Angry parents of learners at the newly built Tekwane High School are calling for the head of the principal.
This is after police allegedly assaulted learners of this high school upon instruction of the principal.
These shocking new allegations leveled against this government-owned high school, are said to have happened last week, allegedly after the principal called the police to the school to assault the learners.
This incident happened just when the entire nation awaits the fate of the Cefups Academy following allegations of corporal punishment.
“This is simply torture and we can’t have a government school operating like a juvenile prison, where the principal thinks he can do anything with our children.
We demand that the department charges him and that he be removed from this school.-
“We do not wish to take the law into our own hands and so we want to appeal to the government to do something about this,” said one angry parent who told this paper that his son was viciously manhandled by the police during their visit.
The parents told this paper that the principal didn’t want to punish the learners himself because he was afraid of being charged by the department and so opted to call the police instead.
“What is even more painful is the fact that our children haven’t even received counselling and we are afraid this may affect their performance at school and in later life,” he continued.
This high school has just opened its doors a month ago and even then, it was in total disarray as no learning and teaching took place.
