George cop in court for
fraud

George - A
warrant officer appeared on fraud charges in the George Magistrate's Court on
Friday, Western Cape police said.
The trial of
Godfrey Jantjies, 45, was postponed to March 11, Captain Bernadine Steyn said.
Jantjies
allegedly submitted a fraudulent claim at Pacaltsdorp police station in August.
This related to
travel allowances and expenses he used.
Jantjies has
been suspended from the SA Police Service pending the outcome of the
department's investigation.
