Kimberly cops accused of robbing man while searching his house for drugs

Two police constables have appeared in the in the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court in Kimberley on charges of trying to murder and rob a man who had been accused of being a drug dealer.
Constables Tshidiso Ambrose Bodigelo, 34, and Makwadi Christopher Mashalane, 33 were searching the home of a Nigerian national for drugs on 29 March, when they allegedly stole his cellphone and wallet according to IOL.
"After the police officers left, the complainant realised that his cellphone and wallet were missing. In the same afternoon, two cash withdrawals were made at an ATM," said police spokeswoman Brigadier Masebueng Mochologi-Maleeme.
When he realised his wallet was missing, he reported it to the police.
The next day the same two officers alledgely tried to run over him while he was riding his bicycle.
After he left his bicycle and ran into a nearby shopping centre, the officers went after him and handed it back to him.
