Pretoria. A family in the primarily Afrikaans suburb of Pierre van Ryneveld, has lodged a multi-million rand claim against the minister of police after their husband and father was shot and killed following a high speed car chase through the streets of Pretoria east. The police claim he had been mistaken for a ‘hijacker’, reports the Pretoria News on its September 16 2009 front page.
