Major General Solly Lazarus and Colonel Hein Barnard appeared in the Pretoria
Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, the Hawks said.
The two face
charges of theft, fraud and corruption related to a secret crime intelligence
slush fund, Captain Paul Ramaloko said.
Secret
service fund boss Solly Lazarus has been allegedly linked to fraudulent
activity of a R250 million secret service account. They are accused of
benefiting by about R1.1 million. They were arrested on Tuesday morning.
