commander at Wrenchville near Kimberley, Capt Anna Phorotlho under charges of
alleged involvement in the armed robberies of many #Somali shops in the North
Cape: Jan14 2013 KIMBERLEY SOUTH AFRICA - Capt Anna Phorotlho 42 has been
arrested in connection with her involvement on 'numerous xenophobic armed
robberies' in 2012 of foreign-owned shops. Members of a gang arrested by police
said Capt Phorothlo, station commander at the Wrenchville police station, had
allegedly dropped the men off in her police vehicle at one shop of a foreigner
and told them to rob it. She's also suspected of involvement in a series of
other robberies targetting foreign-owned shops of Somali refugees throughout
the region. She allegedly also provided a police firearm to use in the
