A Johannesburg Metro Police vehicle sent a woman flying a few metres into the air, as it rushed to an accident scene.

The Roodepoort Record reports that the incident happened at at the Ontdekkers Road and Conrad Street intersection.

Apparently the traffic lights were flashing green as she attempted to cross the road, and got hit by the police vehicle.

“The woman, who suffered slight injuries was taken to hospital but I don’t know which hospital. The officers did not sustain any injuries,” JMPD’s Wayne Minnaar said.
