Port Shepstone Cop arrested for rape
It is believed that the victim is a 16-year-old girl.

A PORT Shepstone police officer spent the weekend behind bars after being charged with rape.
Last Thursday the police officer, based at the Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) in Port Shepstone, was arrested by detectives from the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS).
“He was arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old relative,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid. It is believed that the incident took place at a private home in Sea Park on June 19.
He appeared in the Port Shepstone Court on Monday this week and the case was postponed to Friday, July 1 for a formal bail application.
He remains in police custody
