KNYSNA NEWS - A 35-year-old police sergeant from
Knysna was arrested on a charge of rape yesterday afternoon.
The arrest follows an incident at the suspect's house yesterday morning at approximately 02:30.
It is alleged that the suspect r...aped an 18-year-old woman who spent the night at his house with her boyfriend.
The suspect, who is based at Knysna Police station, is expected to appear in the Knysna Magistrates' court later today.
The matter is also being investigated departmentally, and the outcome is yet to be determined.
